So if you believe Evan Drellich, which I do… The Astros are not likely to sign reliever Andrew Miller.

Miller last season had 2.02 ERA in 62.1 innings for both the Red Soxs and Orioles, and over the past two seasons has been solid. Me personally was never to high on Miller, since 2012 he went from struggling starter to decent reliever and wasn’t just till this past season that he became epic.

You can’t trust a one year super duper star, the Astros most likely would have had to over pay for Miller and if he bombs your stuck with him.

With Miller heading somewhere else, Astros still have PLENTY of good options to fill the bullpen.

Top options
1. David Robertson
2. Francisco Rodriguez
3. Joba Chamberlain

2nd tier options
1. Sergio Romo
2. Pat Neshek

Bullpen fillers
1. Phil Coke
2. Jason Grilli

Astros don’t necessarily need a guy who can close, after all they still have Chad Qualls, Astros G.M.
Jeff Luhnow has mentioned to ROR before that Chad Qualls can still close they can find guys behind him if need be.

So those are the options the Astros have!
